The Science Place Mission Statement

The Science Place exists to demystify science, make it accessible and understandable to adults and children, to promote the public understanding of science, and to educate and entertain using "hands-on" or participatory techniques.

The Science Place Vision

1. To create a World-Class Science Center, providing state-of-the-art Math, Science and Technology exhibits and a dramatic museum facility for the city of Dallas.
2. To serve the diverse audience of public visitors and school students and teachers with engaging informal educational science programs.
3. To serve the people of our community by establishing supportive partnerships with community organizations.
4. To secure the commitment of the City of Dallas and ART to provide infrastructure support for the Fair Park Area.
5. To sustain financial viability as a cultural institution.
